Society of St. Andrew helps the planet! The greenhouse gases released from food waste are a major contributor to global warming and climate change. The less food in the landfill, the better for the planet! Lets work together to help reduce food waste, save our planet AND feed our neighbors! Volunteer today at www.endhunger.org/register
Hooray for gleaners! says Pepper, the resident kitty at Lever Farms. At least we think thats what hes saying. Were excited to sharing the patch with him and getting the beautiful berries to people in need!
We help feeding agencies. A lot of food banks, soup kitchens, shelters, and food pantries are stuck handing out canned and boxed goods because theyre shelf-stable and cheap. Were able to donate (yes, for FREE) nutritious, delicious, fresh fruits and veggies to these agencies. That means they can serve healthier food, and they dont have to spend that money, allowing their dollars to stretch. Visit our website: http://ow.ly/5bt030haShU

A small but dedicated group of gleaners picked 135 pounds of beautiful strawberries yesterday for local veterans at Lever Farms in Newberry, SC! What a treat! Thanks to the folks at Lever Farms for sharing their bounty!
Society of St. Andrew helps farmers. Farmers often have to throw out their produce for various reasons, but when farmers donate to SoSA we rescue that food for them! Theres a tax donation and legal protection, no liability, when farmers give to SoSA. Farmers work hard and we dont want see their hard work go to waste! So well take it and put on the plate of those who need it. Thank you Indiana farmers for all you do!
These berries will be ready for picking on Wednesday, May 23rd! Please join us at Nissan Stadium for a serviceberry gleaning starting at 4:30 pm. Email Kelsey at tn-glean@endhunger.org if youd like to come!
