The Great Harvest Festival is a full day of activities at Jason and Tay Brown’s First Fruits Farm! On November 7, from 9:00-noon, we’ll harvest 250,000 pounds sweet potatoes to be distributed across the state to people in need. That is twice as many potatoes as last year and we need a lot of hands to make it happen!

After the sweet potato harvest, there will be music, games, and lunch provided by the Browns. Click the Register button in the next column for more details.

Be on the lookout for an email the week of the event detailing parking information and other reminders. If you have questions about volunteering, please email Meg Spears-Newsome.

When you click on the button above, you will be taken to an Eventbrite page where you can register as a volunteer for The Great Harvest Festival.

Logo of First Fruits Farm This event will be held at Jason Brown’s First Fruits Farm, where he has worked with two other farmers to plant 11 acres of sweet potatoes just for this event. The harvest will be followed by fishing, bounce houses, hay rides, great food, and live entertainment (including a testimony by Jason Brown, former NFL center.) Bring a lawn chair or blanket and plan to have some farm fun!
