SoSA publishes spiritual resources for various seasons each year. These include Lent (Spring), Advent (Winter), Vacation Bible School (Summer), and bible studies for any season.
Lenten and Advent Devotions
Each year, SoSA publishes an original booklet of devotions for each day of Lent and Advent. These booklets are a great resource for personal or congregational use. In each devotional booklet, you will find daily meditations, prayers, and personal stories of growth that illustrate how God speaks to people through various life experiences. These devotionals are written by people of deep and abiding faith: pastors, missionaries, and laypersons from many Christian traditions.
Printed booklets are available free of charge with a suggested donation to support SoSA’s work. PDF versions are also available to download, or you can receive daily emails of each devotion.
Vacation Bible School
“Where faith grows and hungry people are fed”
Bring your community and faith family together with a Vacation Bible School experience they are bound to love! Abundance Orchard™ offers a complete, all-in-one hunger-action-themed VBS program for 2 years.
Abundance Orchard™ is meaningful, theologically sound, fun for everyone involved, and focused on scripture. You will have the opportunity to engage your children, students, and leaders in a meaningful experience this summer and have a blast at the same time!
Start with the Old Testament in Part 1 and walk your students through scriptures exploring God’s miraculous provision and abundance for His people. Then follow up with the New Testament in Part 2, and focus on scriptures illustrating Jesus’ use of meals to gather those most in need of His love.
Abundance Orchard is the perfect opportunity to engage your community in a meaningful way.
Bible Studies
SoSA offers 2 Bible studies appropriate for any season! Gleanings is a hunger-focused Bible study featuring 10 lessons for young people and adults. The Fast that I Choose is based on Isaiah 58:6 and consists of 12 sessions. Both curricula challenge participants to respond concretely to the reality of hunger in our world.
