Uniting to Combat Hunger
Every day, 40 million people in this country struggle with access to enough good food to live a healthy lifestyle. And at the same time, 40% of all the food grown on U.S. farms ends up lost as waste for a variety of reasons.
You can do something about that! By volunteering with SoSA, you can serve in the twofold mission to prevent food waste and end hunger. Every 1lb. of food rescued provides 4 servings of fresh food for a family who needs it most.
Join the mission. Unite to combat hunger. Together, we can make a difference.
The Seed Project
You and your post can serve your neighbors in need through SoSA’s Seed Project. Whether a community garden or a container of tomatoes, your civic responsibility extends to ensure families in this country have enough food for everyone in their home.
Each year, SoSA donates various seeds to grow good food for needy families. Do you have a garden? A green thumb? Or just a desire to serve?
Partner with SoSA this year to get good food where it’s needed most— onto the tables of American families who might otherwise go without. Learn more about the Seed Project.
National Convention July 2023
Are you planning to attend the 124th National Convention July 22nd-27th, 2023? If so, you can partner with SoSA’s Seed Project on-site.
The Society of St. Andrew (SoSA) is a strategic partner in the mission to end hunger. After all, in this country, no one should be without food. You can get involved, raise awareness, and do something about hunger in your community.
