Help Harvest Sweet Potatoes and Feed Your Neighbors in Need!

Be part of something special this fall by volunteering at one of SoSA’s Yam Jam Gleaning Events! These fun and rewarding events span six weekends across October and November, and we need all hands on deck to help harvest thousands of pounds of sweet potatoes. The fields are huge, and we need you—and maybe a friend or two—to make a difference!

Yam Jam is the Society of St. Andrew’s annual sweet potato gleaning event in North Carolina. Last year, volunteers came together to glean over 100,000 pounds of sweet potatoes across Central North Carolina! All of the sweet potatoes go directly to local feeding agencies, providing fresh, healthy food to our neighbors in need immediately.

Special Event at First Fruits Farm
Mark your calendar for November 1 at Jason and Tay Brown’s First Fruits Farm in Louisburg, NC, where you can help harvest sweet potatoes to donate to local feeding agencies.
