With Faith the Size of a Mustard Seed – Lenten Devotions
Daily Devotions and Giving Program, March 1 – April 16, 2017 – Order Form Below ⇓
Join with hundreds of congregations and thousands of individuals and families across the country and around the globe. Deepen your faith as you give generously to provide healthy food for our hungry brothers and sisters through the work of Society of St. Andrew during Lent, March 1 through April 16, 2017.
Traditionally, Lent is a season of penitence, a time of asking God’s forgiveness for our sins, and seeking a new way of life in Christ, day by day, as we approach the death of Jesus and look forward to his resurrection.
Our 2017 title is With Faith the Size of a Mustard Seed, showing that our faith, though it may start out very small, can grow! In the devotional booklet, you will find daily meditations and prayers that explore the theme of how faith has grown, and the circumstances that brought that growth, written by people of deep and abiding faith: pastors and laypersons from many Christian traditions.
Devotional booklets, pew envelopes, and coin banks are free, and may be ordered in quantity. You may also download a copy of the devotional booklet for your e-reader or sign up to receive each day’s devotion by email.
Pre-order a Lenten Preview Packet for your congregation today. We will begin shipping these in January 2017. Place your order using the form on this page, or call 800-333-4597.
Also available, the Good Friday Fast
Join Society of St. Andrew staff and volunteers in fasting on Good Friday. This special time of prayer and fasting uses our physical hunger as a symbol of our spiritual hungers. It also serves as a vivid reminder of our many brothers and sisters who live with real, physical hunger every day. This year’s Good Friday Fast considers the psalmist’s declaration of thanksgiving for deliverance, Joy Comes with the Morning. Psalm 30:5
Download or order our Good Friday Fast booklet for instructions and readings, reflections, and prayers for the mealtimes through which you are fasting.
