Potato Palooza

In partnership with Sterman Masser Farms

Potato Palooza is a community-wide event to glean and share farm-fresh food in your local community! All ages are welcome!

Recent estimates show that roughly 40 million Americans struggle with access to the proper quantity and quality of food to live a healthy lifestyle. That’s a shame because, at the same time, 40% of all the food grown in the United States is lost as food waste for various reasons.

To feed hungry people and to raise awareness of these issues, Sterman Masser Farms® is hosting its first annual Potato Palooza. Given their shared values— providing healthy food, strengthening local communities, and sustainably doing it all— Masser Farms will partner with The Society of St. Andrew to host their event this Fall!

You’re invited to come out and get your hands dirty to serve your neighbors.

Save The Date

Saturday, October 7th, 2023, from 8 AM to 12 PM— Sign up as a volunteer for more details.

You can sign up to serve for a two-hour shift or volunteer for all four hours! We are grateful for your time! If you have questions or a group that would like to glean, please call the The Society of St. Andrew at 800-333-4597 or email volunteer@endhunger.org, and we will gladly assist you in any way.

Volunteers who sign up to participate will receive an email with the field location and parking information before the event. By volunteering with SoSA, Sterman Masser® employees and local volunteers can come together to glean food, prevent food waste, and build communities. Every 1lb. of food rescued provides four servings of fresh food for a family who needs it most.

Also, if you or your group, are interested in delivering nutritious potatoes to local pantries, agencies, or neighborhoods, please contact ops@endhunger.org for more information about being a recipient/distributor.

Join the mission. Give back. Volunteer. And do your part to build a vibrant, healthy, and stable community!
